Delete your account
You can delete your Hindu Pro account and all of its data in the app, or by email if you cannot use the app.
Delete in the app
- Open Hindu Pro. If you signed out, sign in first.
- On Today, tap your avatar to open Settings.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
The app deletes your account and all of its data at once.
Ask us without the app
Email support@hindupro.app from the email address of your account. Write "Delete my account" in the message. We act only on email from the address of the account, so that we know the account is yours. We delete the account and reply within 30 days.
A guest account has no email address, so we cannot find it from an email: delete it in the app. If nobody opens a guest account for 60 days, we delete it and its data.
What we delete
- Your name and email address, if you added them.
- Your sessions and sign-in codes.
- Your answers from set-up, your settings, and your location and city.
- Your practice: your days, japa counts, streak, saved verses, plan progress, and event reminders.
- Your rashi and nakshatra, if you saved them.
- Your Ask chats: the questions, the answers, and the reports you made.
- Your consent record for the AI, and your question and AI-use counts.
- Your purchase record at RevenueCat.
What we keep
We keep no account data after you delete your account, except for a short time:
- the counts of sign-in codes sent to your email address, which we normally delete within a day;
- server logs, which help us fix errors and stop abuse. We delete them after at most 7 days.
See the Privacy Policy.
Apple or Google keeps its own record of your payments, under its own rules. We cannot delete it.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first, or the store keeps charging you.
- iPhone: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Hindu Pro.
- Android: open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Hindu Pro.
